The Nine Arch Bridge

Marvel at a 30-meter high colonial engineering masterpiece built entirely of stone and brick, hidden deep within the jungle. Also known as the 'Bridge in the Sky', this viaduct was constructed during the British colonial period without the use of any steel. Waiting for the train to cross the bridge, surrounded by the lush greenery of the tea estates and the sounds of the jungle, is an iconic Sri Lankan experience.
